MENEKIE BOWL: Pittsburgh [Corey] 39, Boston College [Tim, reserved team] 37
Tim/BC's offensive line was outclassed all night, but TE Chris Pantale was the saving grace, catching anything chucked his way, and chucked was right as his QB had no time to do anything save throw it up and hope for the best, being tackled 5 times while attempting a pitch. Nonetheless, BC opened with an impressive drive hogging most of the first half to go up 7-0, only to see Pitt return the ensuing kickoff for 6. AFter another Pitt TD, BC came up with a heartstopping drive to force OT. In OT after two trades of TDs and a trade of FGs made it 31-31, Pitt scored a TD in two plays then on a hb toss pass the WR was counted in bounds in a controversial play. Tim/BC stormed back, immediately scoring the TD with Pantale, but on the 2pc a route in the flat was picked by a jumping saftey, and that was game, leaving Tm with only NC State and Iowa remaining.
